Every year almost all the students trained by the department qualify for JRF of ICAR
A good number of students also qualify for NET/ARS of ICAR
Passed out students of this department are well established and serving for the betterment of our motherland in various National and internationally reputed organisation.
Published and well accepted text books for agriculture and allied fields by the teachers of the department is one of the achievements
With a small structure, the department has managed to hold winter schools, training programme, seminar symposium etc. on regular basis
Developed Sophisticated net linked Computer Training Centre with 45 end users.
The Society for Application of Statistics in Agriculture and Allied Fields is housed at the Department of Ag Statistics, BCKV and is also publishing a Nationally acclaimed Journal RASHI in Statistics and Allied fields
Future Plan of the Department
To make the Department as a Centre of Excellence in the field of Application Statistics, Ag. Informatics and Computational Statistics
To develop at least two smart class rooms of capacity 50 each
