• Dr.Daulat Singh Memorial Extension Education Excellence Award
• Started in 1962 under the aegis of Kalyani University and, subsequently, evolved as a full-fledged department under Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Department of Agricultural Extension has been contributing to the domain of applied and theoretical Extension Science, along and across the disciplines and specializations.
• Communication, Rural Sociology, Research Methodology, Transfer of Technology, Agricultural Management, Development theories and Participatory Extension Methodology, Gender Empowerment and Social Ecology have been the thrust areas for teaching, research and practical extension learning for both the UG and PG Students.
• Book Publication:
  Text Books: 12(Twelve) text books for UG and PG level as per ICAR syllabus have been written by the faculties.
  
  Reference Books: More then 60(sixty) reference books have been published,out of the research work carried out by the department.
• Research paper publication in National and International Journals: more than four hundred
• Winter/ Summer School: The Department has so far organized 9 Winter/Summer Schools
• Seminar/Conferences : One International and One National conference/seminarhave been organized
• Scholar’s Excellence : DAAD Fellow (Germany) (1) and Jawaharlal Nehru Award (Best Ph D thesis) and one alumni got Full Bright Scholarship

• The Departmental teachers,have been recognized as National and International level experts in the field of ‘Participatory Planning’, ‘Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation’, ‘Gender Analysis in Development’, ‘Capacity Building’ by different development and Research Organization of repute.
• Professor M.M.Adhiakry has been awarded ‘Life time Achievement’ in Extension Education from ISEE. Prof .D.Basu, Prof.S.K.Acharya and Prof.J.K.Das got award as ‘Distinguished Scientist’ from Krishi Sanskrit, New Delhi.
• Teachers of the department take part actively in numerous extension programmes for the bebefit of the farmers.
• Best Ph.D. thesis award from MANAGE in 2021.
• Prof.D.Basu and Prof.S.K.Acharya have been awarded ISEE fellow.
• Prof.D.Basu has got ISEE Recognition Award.
