  • Candidate has not involved in a criminal case or punished under disciplinary.
  • Candidate has submitted his Ph.D dissertation in the university.

4 National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Student
(Old name RGNF-ST) – Tenable for period of 5 years. (Selection made by UGC as per their criteria)		 ₹. 25,000/- p.m. (JRF) – 2yrs. + HRA, + Contingent Grant of ₹. 10,000/- p.a.
₹. 28,000/- p.m. (SRF) –from 3rd yr. onwards + HRA + Contingent Grant of ₹. 20,500/- p.a.
  • The candidate belonging to ST should have passed the Post-Graduation examination for being eligible for the Fellowship.
  • The candidate must be registered for regular and full time M.Phil. /Ph.D courses in University /Institute/ Colleges recognized by UGC.
  • The ST students once considered eligible for the Fellowship shall not be entitled for any other fellowship of the Centre or State Government for the same study.

  • The candidate should belong to SC and should have passed the Passed the Post Graduate Examination.
  • The Candidate must be registered for M.Phil./Ph.D.
6 National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of OBC Student
(Old name RGNF-OBC) – tenable for period of 5 years. (Selection made by UGC as per their criteria)		 ₹. 25,000/- p.m. (JRF) – 2yrs. + HRA, + Contingent Grant of ₹. 10,000/- p.a.
₹. 28,000/- p.m. (SRF) –from 3rd yr. onwards + HRA + Contingent Grant of ₹. 20,500/- p.a.
  • The candidate should belong to OBC and should have passed the Post Graduate examination and annual income of the beneficiary/parents or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 6.00 lakh per annum from all sources.
  • Selection will be made on the basis of merit of the candidates. However, the actual payment of fellowship will be made directly to awardee through e-payment under DBT with effect from 1st April of selection/financial year (or) from date of joining the fellowship, whichever is later.

7 Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students (MANF) – tenable for period of 5 years. (Selection made by UGC as per their criteria) ₹. 25,000/- p.m. (JRF) – 2yrs. + HRA, + Contingent Grant of ₹. 10,000/- p.a.
₹. 28,000/- p.m. (SRF) –from 3rd yr. onwards + HRA + Contingent Grant of ₹. 20,500/- p.a.
  • Candidate should belong to one of the minority communities
  • Candidate should submit the minority community certificate
  • Candidate should be registered for regular and full time M.Phil/Ph.D courses
  • Beneficiary/parents or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed ₹. 2.5 lakh from all sources.
  • The candidate should have secured a minimum score of 50% at Post Graduate level.

8 INSPIRE Fellowship– JRF (Professional) under AORC scheme tenable for period of 5 years from the date of registration in Ph.D. programme or acceptance/ switching over to this fellowship from any other fellowship/scholarship @ ₹. 3,00,000/- p.a. + HRA @ 30,000/- p.a. and Contingent Grant of ₹. 20,000/- per annum Only 1st Rank holders in each P.G. level Department of the Univ. Examination in Agril. Sciences/ Vet. Sci., who wants to pursue Ph.D. Degree in any Indian Universities & this fellowship, is applicable for Indian Nationals only Deptt. of Sci. & Tech., Min. of Sci. & Tech., Govt. of India.
9 Junior Research Fellowship of UGC NET Qualified Students i)     ₹ 25,000/ p.m for the first two years. In addition, annual contingent grant of ₹. 10,000/- + HRA.
ii)   On Completion of two years as JRF and if the fellow is registered for PhD, the fellowship will be upgraded to SRF (NET) and the stipend will be increased to ₹. 28,000/- p.m for the 3rd and subsequent years		 Candidates who have qualified in NET-JRF or the UGC-CSIR joint test. However, the registration for the M.Phil/PhD is made by the Universities/Institutions/Colleges within stipulated period of two years from the date of declaration of result or date of issue of award letter/date of joining the fellowship University Grants Commission
10 DBT-JRF Sponsored by Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India i) ₹. 25,000/ p.m for the first two years.
ii)   On Completion of two years as JRF and if the fellow is registered for PhD, the fellowship will be upgraded to SRF (NET) and the stipend will be increased to ₹. 28,000/- p.m for the 3rd and subsequent years		 The candidates qualifying BET (Biotechnology Eligibility Test) are required to submit prescribed documents within a year of declaration of BET results for the issuance of award letter. Award letter will not be issued if documents are not found in order or are not submitted within one year Deptt. of Sci. & Tech., Min. of Sci. & Tech., Govt. of India
11 India-Africa Fellowship Programme-III (for foreign student) ₹. 22,000/- p.m. for Ph.D students, medical insurance @. 2,000/- per year per student and Institutional fee @ 2,68,000/- per year is prescribed on each enrolment M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Sc. (Hort.)/ M.Tech. in Ag. Engg. in any branch of Agril./ Hort./Ag. Engg. Science Indian Council of Agricultural Research
12 Research Fellowship (Jr./ Sr.) / Research Associateship) under different projects. (Selection made on merit basis as per Univ. criteria by the Selection Committee constituted for the purpose) Fellowship amount depends on funding agency M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Sc. (Hort.) / Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agril./ Hort. Science/ Cognate branches securing at least 55% marks or above in aggregate or OGPA 2.75 in 4.00 or 6.75 in 10.00 scale followed by a good bachelors degree in Agril. / Hort./ B.Sc.(Hons.) as per requirement of the Projects. Preferences are given to Ag. Students.
And other criteria decided by the P.I. of the project		 Sponsored by different private sector Company’s/ NGO’s etc
13 Research Fellowship (Jr./ Sr.) / Res. Associateship under different projects. (Selection made on merit basis as per Univ. criteria by the Selection Committee constituted for the purpose) Fellowship amount depends on funding agency M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Sc. (Hort.) / Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agril./ Hort. Science/ Cognate branches securing at least 55% marks or above in aggregate or OGPA 2.75 in 4.00 or 6.75 in 10.00 scale followed by a good bachelors degree in Agril. / Hort./ B.Sc.(Hons.) as per requirement of the Projects. Preferences are given to Ag. Students.
And other criteria decided by the P.I. of the project		 Sponsored by different departments under the concerned Ministry of Govt. India
14 Jr./Sr. Research Fellowship – Tenure - 3 to 5 years depending of projects tenure. (Selection as per Univ. criteria) Fellowship amount depends on funding agency M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Sc. (Hort.) / Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agril./ Hort. Science/ Cognate branches securing at least 55% marks or above in aggregate or OGPA 2.75 in 4.00 or 6.75 in 10.00 scale followed by a good bachelors degree in Agril. / Hort./ B.Sc.(Hons.) as per requirement of the Projects. Preferences are given to Ag. Students.
And other criteria decided by the P.I. of the project		 Govt. of India through Govt. of West Bengal under RKVY programme
15 Research Associateship/ Jr./Sr. Research Fellowship – 3 to 5 years depending of projects tenure. (Selection as per Univ. criteria) Fellowship amount depends on funding agency M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Sc. (Hort.) / Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agril./ Hort. Science/ Cognate branches securing at least 55% marks or above in aggregate or OGPA 2.75 in 4.00 or 6.75 in 10.00 scale followed by a good bachelors degree in Agril. / Hort./ B.Sc.(Hons.) as per requirement of the Projects. Preferences are given to Ag. Students.
